Welcome to Poets Inspiring Poets!       What is the power of poetry? Why do we love it so much? And why were some of the most powerful books in the bible (Proverbs, Psalms, Ecclesiastes and Song of Solomon) written largely in the language of poetry?       You've heard the saying that 'Less is more' and poetry is good proof of this. It has the ability to say so much with so little; it roots out unnecessary words and gets right to the point to say what it wants. Poetry is a language vehicle that takes us directly to what we need to know, which as any lay or professional poet will know is not always easy!       God has always included poets among His army of worshippers and Poets Inspiring Poets has been set up to support this particular part of the body of Christ, whether you identify yourself as a serious poet or a dabbler.       We'll be posting any useful information we come across to help you to continue using your gift and to hone your talent further. We would also like you to use this place to share what you are up to and to share information about events and courses, books and resources that can help fellow poets.
