| Seeing God's Image in Everything! |
|
| |
|
Excerpt from Seeing God’s Image in Everything!
by Jacqueline Peart |
| |
| What are images? Or what does the word Image in the title of this book pertain to? |
| |
| The Oxford dictionary describes an image as “a mental picture”, which is partly what this edition of Inspirations for... aims to create. However, in its fullness it aims to paint a canvass of pictures that reflect God's wisdom and beauty in everything we do, wherever we go and in all we are. |

| You see this book continues the message and theme from the first two editions of Inspirations for... A Search for Wholeness and Relationships. For us to truly have a sense of who we are and develop our self and esteem through Christ, we must know who He is and that includes knowing and seeing Him fully. For this reason I have been inspired to write a collection of thoughts and poems that aim to create pictures about you and your experiences with self, God, others and about the world around us. Through the inspirations contained within this book we can see who God is in you and me and how that touches every area of our lives. By seeing God in all things we do not limit His omnipresence to being a distant God in the sky, but that of a God we can communicate with on an intimate and personal level. So we like the writer of Proverbs can say, “God is a friend that sticks closer than a brother.” (Proverbs 18:24 NKJV) |

| So often we look for God in the supernatural that we miss Him right here in the natural. I know people who think that knowing Christ is about going through a set of religious rules and regulations, going to mass and confession and the likes and by rehearsing these various duties we have somehow met with God. And you know what? I thought much the same thing before I found the truth for myself… |
