Welcome to This Week's Inspiration

I've Prayed yet I'm still waiting

Dear Friends,

The title of this Week's Inspiration speaks for itself! We can begin praying for situations and needs with such faith and vigour then as time passes we question why we are still in the waiting position.

If that's you, be encouraged because God is still in the prayer answering business.

Yours waiting peacefully on ALL the promises of God

Jacqueline

Have you not known?

Have you not heard?

The everlasting God, the Lord,

The Creator of the ends of the earth,

Neither faints nor is weary.

His understanding is un-searchable.

He gives power to the weak,

And to those who have no might He increases strength.

Even the youths shall faint and be weary,

And the young men shall utterly fall,

But those who wait on the Lord,

Shall renew their strength;

They shall mount up with wings as eagles,

They shall run and not be weary,

They shall walk and not faint.

Isaiah 40: 28-31 NKJV

This week's inspiration is for those of you that are in a waiting period, a season every one of us has to go through at different times. Many of us try to fathom why we have to wait so long for some things and others just seem to happen 'suddenly'. Then as I began to read Isaiah I was reminded that we serve a God who neither faints, nor wearies, and whose understanding is un-searchable. So there is no point trying to work out the "why's," "when's," "if's" and "how's," we just have to trust that He is the one who will give us the strength we need to wait in and on Him.

During the waiting season there are different types and possibly stages of waiting you will encounter. The Webster's New World Dictionary gives us some insight into this:

To remain temporarily undone or neglected

Wow! During our waiting times we may legitimately feel neglected or undone. I know that some of you reading this inspiration may be at this stage now and for some of you this season has passed. But today I want to encourage you and let you know it is only TEMPORARY and those feelings of neglect and abandonment some of you have felt while you have been waiting will pass, it's only TEMPORARY!!! If I was in church I'd probably ask you to turn to your neighbour and tell them, "this too will pass, it's only temporary!" As we're not in church but in cyberspace, can I ask you to just pause for a moment, put your hand on your chest and tell yourself, "this too will pass, it is only temporary!"

When God is preparing you for your next season and for His greater purposes, it can feel draining and we can feel neglected. But God knew this, that is why He said, "And to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall."

So whether you are old or young, strong or weak God has catered for these down times all you have to do is wait on Him...

This week, ask the Lord to simply teach you how to wait patiently on Him...
